My first love is working with complex communicators and AAC users. Giving everyone a way to communicate is my passion and what drew me to this field. I love helping nonverbal children find their voice, whether it’s through selecting words on an iPad program, or communicating with an eye gaze device, or even a muscle activated button!
Along the way, I realized that complex communicators often also have problems with feeding. I developed a second specialty in pediatric feeding and swallowing as a result. From standard picky eaters, to children with feeding disorders, to infants having difficulty with breast and bottle feeding, I am trained and certified through various programs to assist these populations.
Despite my specialties, I have a wide range of experience providing therapy across settings. My professional experience ranges from working in rehab hospitals, hospital outpatient programs, home health, public schools, and private practices.
