KANSAS Staffy, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner, Founder, Speech-Language Pathologist

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with a specialty in pediatric swallowing and feeding, and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication).

I am originally from San Antonio, Texas. Before moving out of Texas, I lived in four major metro areas: San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and Houston. From there, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where I am currently living. I will be leaving Las Vegas at the end of July to come to the Western Slope!

Joining me on my move are my husband, and my three dogs. When I’m not working, I enjoy being in nature with my husband and dogs, traveling, watching basketball, and going to concerts.

I look forward to hearing from you!

GETTING Started with
TALK & TASTE Pediatric THERAPYIS EASY!

Let's chat! I offer a free 30-minute consultation over the phone or through a video call. After our chat, I'll send you some paperwork to fill out. Once I get the paperwork back from you, we'll schedule your child's evaluation.

Step One

We'll do a thorough evaluation where I'll spend time getting to know you and your child. We'll play, I’ll observe, and conduct some assessments to figure out what your child’s strengths are and where they might need some extra help. Then, based on what I find, we'll create a plan just for your child.

Step Two

Step Three

The fun begins! We will schedule your child’s first session. Sessions are typically 30 to 45 minutes in length and involve both therapy with your child as well as caregiver coaching and education. Strategies will be shared for things to work on before the next session.

SERVICE LOCATIONS

In-home sessions will be offered starting August 1st. Areas of service include:

Delta County, Colorado
Montrose County, Colorado
Ouray County, Colorado
Grand Junction, Colorado

Insurance & billing

I am currently working on becoming contracted with Medicaid. As I am still working on credentialing and contracting, I cannot yet accept this insurance. Please still contact me if interested, so that you may be put on a waitlist.

As a result, at this time, Talk & Taste Pediatric Therapy is private pay / self-pay only. I accept cash, check, debit, credit, HSA and FSA cards.

If you have private insurance, a superbill will be provided to you. It is then your responsibility to submit it to your insurance. Superbills are a detailed medical recepit that can be sent to insurances for the possibility of reimbursement through out-of-network coverage.

A superbill does not guaruntee you’ll be reimbursed. It's a good idea to check with your insurance first to see if they accept Superbills from out-of-network speech therapy providers.
